Angelina is a fourth-generation St. Helena native whose roots in Napa Valley winemaking run deep. She began working at her family’s winery, Charles Krug, at just 10 years old, getting an early introduction to the cellar and laboratory side of winemaking. The connection between the Mondavi and Battuello families goes back generations, with both families deeply rooted in St. Helena and the Napa Valley. Over the years, Battuello fruit has made its way to Mondavi family wineries, making Angelina’s connection to our estate feel like a natural continuation of a relationship that has existed for generations.

She went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry with a minor in Business from Villanova University, followed by a master’s degree in Oenology from the University of Adelaide in South Australia. Her winemaking career has taken her around the world, with experience in Australia, Argentina, Italy and throughout the United States. With more than 40 harvests under her belt, Angelina brings an incredible depth of technical knowledge, global perspective and hands-on experience to every vintage. Her work has also contributed to 17 perfect 100-point scores for a cult Napa Valley winery that will remain unnamed.
